The Subaru is planning to release the next version of their Exiga car model. This is after the manufacturer unveiled the concept back during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. Exiga wagon was introduced into the auto world in 2008 and remains the largest crossover offered by the Japanese automaker. The new version of the model is going to enter the market as 2017 Subaru Exiga and will feature elegant redesigns and updates. Expect an exceptional exterior styling and a luxurious interior cabin. Subaru is also planning to revise on the Exiga’s engine to give you more power and enhanced powertrain performance.
2017 Subaru Exiga – Lightweight Design:
The big size SUV is going to come in sportier exterior outlook. The entire chassis for the 2017 Subaru Exiga is made of high-strength steel and lightweight aluminum materials. The lightweight designs reduce the car’s overall weight hence leading to improved aerodynamic power and fuel efficiency. Consumers should also expect a unique exterior profile with nicely shaped grille and attractive metal bumpers and LED headlights in the front end. At the lower part of the front end, there are beautifully framed LED fog lights while rear end presents short spoiler and attractive LED indicators. Exiga 2017 will ride on massive 17-inch alloy wheels which enhances the vehicle’s off-road performance.
Interior Design:
Being the largest SUV model offered by Subaru, the upcoming Exiga presents a comfortable and luxurious interior cabin with updated infotainment system. Both the headroom and legroom has been extended to enhance passenger comfort. The front seats come heated while all the seats are upholstered using the high-quality leather material. The sophisticated and magnificent interior for the 2017 Subaru Exiga adopts an updated dashboard with the 5-inch display screen. Other standard interior features include climate control, automated air conditioning, a navigation system, and premium audio system with USB port interface, satellite radio, Bluetooth smartphone integration, CD/MP3/MP4 player. Driver and safety equipment include quality safety belts, premium airbag, rear view camera, parking sensors, blind spot system, parking assists among others.
2017 Subaru Exiga – Durable Engine:
The three powertrain options lined up for the upcoming 2017 Subaru Exiga. The base engine powering this car model is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with a 173 hp at 235 lb-ft. It will be coupled with a CVT transmission system which will send power to all-wheel drive (AWD) system. Acceleration is rated at 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 7 seconds. The 2017 Subaru Exiga also brings other two optional engines include 2.0-liter 4-cylinder DOHC and 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged motors. The DOHC powertrain is rated to deliver 109 horsepower and torque of 259 lb-ft of torque while the turbocharged version which gives 165 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque. The two optional motors will be paired to 6-speed automatic transmission. There is still no reliable information on the car’s fuel economy.
2017 Subaru Exiga – Expected Release Date and Price:
The Subaru has no yet confirmed the official release date for the upcoming Subaru Exiga. However, consumers are expecting the car to arrive in the market at the end of this year or in the first quarter of 2017. It will go for about $ 21,500 as the base price.
